Joseph Roy Green, age 90, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Joseph was born on February 19, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, living in Brunswick since 1957.
He was a 1951 graduate of St. Ignatius High School, he was retired from the Steam Engineer Cuyahoga County. Joseph was also employed for many years by Slabe & Mackay Civil Engineering.
Joseph was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Notre Dame fighting Irish. He also loved to golf, bowl, gardening, home repair and remodeling. His most precious time was time spent with his family.
Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Runchey). Married August 20, 1955. Beloved father of Tim, John (Kim), and Teresa (John) Greco. Loving grandfather of Patty (Brandon) Bly, AJ (Maria), Danny Tabor, and Alex (Lauren). Loving great grandfather of Harrison, Jameson Green and Savannah Bly. Loving brother of Millie (late Eugene Dighero). Joseph was a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
He was proceeded in death by parents, James and Marie Green, siblings Jean, Phyllis, Jim, Sue, Tom, and Fred.
The family will receive friends for Joe on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 12:30 pm until time of Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City. The Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick were entrusted to handle the arrangements.
