JOSEPH KOVACS JR.

Joseph Kovacs Jr., age 82, passed away on September 27, 2013. Joseph was a devoted husband of 51 years to Glenda (nee Bell); loving father of Mary, Joseph, Carolyn Quero (Jordi), Stephen (Ana) and David; dear grandfather of Mallory (Bryan) Johnson, Joseph and Elena; great grandfather of Daisy and Dakota Johnson. Preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Joseph Kovacs; Brother of Elizabeth (Dick) Gerlack and Anthony (Marion).

Joseph was a graduate of Benedictine High School and Ohio University. He served in the United States Army, mainly in Europe. Joe was employed by TRW for 35 years before retiring. He was an active member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Solon for 23 years. Joe was an avid bowler, scoring two 300 games. He also enjoyed Bridge and Poker.

Friends may join the family for Service on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church, 1231 Substation Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Burial is private.
