JOSEPH E MASLANKA

Joseph E. Maslanka, age 81, of Brunswick, passed away on December 29, 2018. He was born on December 26, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to the late, Joseph and Betty (nee Svatos) Maslanka.
Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Uhlmann. He had a heart of gold and loved to help others. He enjoyed fishing and watching boxing, but he especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3505.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Lori (Stephen) Krysiak, James (Sheryl); grandchildren,
Drew (Amanda), Keri (Larry), Kaci, Kyle, Kathlyn, Janessa, Sherrie, Stephen; great-grandchildren,
Jack, Lydia, Violet, Rory, Roy; many loving nieces and nephews; and his dog, General Rommel.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy, John, and Jay.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101-9950
