Joseph J. Nagy, age 81, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Joseph was born on August 13, 1939 in Indiana, PA to the late Louis and Beatrice (nee Sabo) Nagy. Preceded in death by his loving wife Maritza (nee Hazinakis) in 1983.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Stephanie (Christopher) Carson and Christine (Frank) Oriti; beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Chloe and Joseph; dear sister, Theresa (Ray – deceased) Farley; sister-in-law Pat Nagy; loving uncle of many and dearest friend to many.
Joe was preceded in death by his siblings, Louis (Bernice), Francis (Pat), Mary (Norman), Beatrice (Ernest), Grace (Grady) and Elizabeth (Willard).
He served in the US Army. Joe was employed as a machine shop operator for many years. Joseph was a member of the Brunswick Eagles #3505 and VFW Post #9520. Joe enjoyed bowling, was a big fan of racing and loved watching his son -in -law Frank race at the different tracks, and he cherished his grandchildren, attending all of their sporting and school events. He was also a big Cleveland Browns fan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 4pm until time of funeral service at 7pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, (1/2 mile south of Route 303). Everyone is asked to wear a MASK. Funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. departure to Westview Cemetery for Joe’s burial.
