Joseph P. Rappe, age 72, passed away on December 31, 2023. He was born to the late Paul Dayton and Goldie Bernice Rambo.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters Janet, Brenda and Ida Sue.
He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Patricia (Richard) and Mimsi (Vickie); sons, Shawn, Shane and Daniel; uncle to, Joseph (Sabrina), Machelle, Roy, Robert, Jessica (Darrell), Vicki (Ben), Sheri, Brian and Aaron (Randy); great-uncle to, Kayla, Selena, Jayden, Donovan, Nicole, Robert, Martin and Timmy; and many other extended family members and friends.
Joseph Rappe, the coolest uncle on the block! This guy was a mix of stubbornness, big-hearted love, and a willingness to help that made him the MVP uncle, hands down.
Joseph had this knack for photography that would make even the pros jealous. He'd snap pics of everything – family gatherings, goofy moments, you name it.
Now, when it came to sports, Joseph was the ultimate fan. Cleveland Browns? Check. Ohio State Buckeyes? Double-check. Cleveland Indians? You betcha. He lived and breathed his teams, cheering them on with the passion only a die-hard fan can muster.
But it wasn't all about serious sports business. Joseph was also a golfer, hitting the greens like a pro. And when it came to video games, he'd trade the golf clubs for a controller any day. Zelda and Mario were his virtual sidekicks, and he'd conquer those games with the finesse of a seasoned gamer.
So here's to Joseph Rappe, the uncle who knew how to mix stubbornness with love, capture memories like a pro, and turn family outings into legendary adventures. Cheers to the guy who made being the best uncle ever look like a walk in the amusement park!
