JOSEPH W. SCHMIDT

Joseph Walter Schmidt, 78, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born on June 30, 1944, Joseph is preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Nancy Lee (Travers) Schmidt, parents Joseph and Rosalie (Krall) Schmidt, and sister Gloria (Schmidt) Geraci.
He is survived by three children Rebecca Wasniak (Daniel), J. Christopher Schmidt (Jenna), Jonathan Schmidt (Sara), and five grandchildren Nathan, Bradley, Delaney, Benjamin, and Felicia. He also leaves behind brothers Gregory Schmidt (Christine) and Robert Schmidt (Loretta).
Joseph served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1965-1968 before being honorably discharged. We thank him for his service. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Care of Joseph has been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services in Medina, Ohio.
