JOSEPH PETER SEDLAK

Joseph Peter Sedlak, 72, of Medina, OH passed away suddenly, on June 16, 2020. He was born on October 16, 1947 in Cleveland, OH.

Joe was a car enthusiast, he really enjoyed “working out”, 60’s Motown music, and living as a snowbird in Florida. He was a proud electrician, who was a National Electric Contractor member. He was a Vietnam veteran who served his country in the Navy. Joe had a charismatic personality and enjoyed people. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Florida. Most importantly, Joe was an organ donor.

Joe was a loving husband to Patricia for 45 years; a caring father to Holly; a proud grandfather to Taylor; a father-in-law to Scott Wichrowski and Paul Healy. He was a brother to Christine (Larry) Pizon, Dennis (Rosemarie), and Linda (Tim) Steahly; and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all, especially by “Man’s Best Friend”, Oscar.

Services for Joe have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Friends may join the family for a visitation on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. All who attend are asked to respect social distancing protocols. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256 (Meet at Church). Masks will be required at the church. Joseph will be privately laid to rest, with full Navy honors, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
