JOSEPH EDWARD STURM

Joseph Edward Sturm, age 82, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 19, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1941, to the late William and Clara (nee Braun) Sturm in Alden, NY.

He graduated from Alfred University. Joseph worked for Ferro for 35 years. He loved gardening, Ohio sports, family vacations in Hilton Head, and animals, especially his many pugs. Most of all, Joseph cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Joseph will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 56 ½ years, Doreen; children, Karen (Tim), Michael (Joey), and Brian (Carol); grandchildren, Christian, Gibson, Aidan, and Tristan; sister, Betty; lots of nieces and nephews; and his furry friends, Chloe and Stella.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Bill.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick. The Sturm family has entrusted Joseph’s care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
