Josephine Chabala (nee Podolak), age 92, of Brunswick, passed away March 28, 2016. She was born March 18, 1924 in Olyphant, Pennsylvania to the late John and Nellie (nee Meako) Podolak.
Josephine enjoyed dancing, travel, and riding and caring for her horses. She was a craft show vendor of folk art and crochet pieces. Josephine loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed being a part of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 9520 in Brunswick.
She will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Joyce M. (Michael) Colarik; and dear grandchildren, Kim (Lisa) Clements and Jeff Clements.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, William; and brothers, Joseph Kotys, and Michael Podolak.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, OH 44212. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior at 9:00 am. Father Rob Ramser of St. Ambrose Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
