Josephine “Jo” Clayton, 96, of Windham, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 9, 2016. She was born on July 16, 1919 to Thomas and Victoria (Crezence) Munza in Montana Mines, WV.
She was a member of the Windham Bible Church for over 40 years and of the 50+ Club. Jo was excellent at sewing and enjoyed making over 50 patchwork jackets. Jo was known for her legendary pepperoni rolls and teaching many family, friends and neighbors how to make them.
Jo is survived by her son, Jerry (Pat) Clayton of Windham; sister, Helen Spevock of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kathy, Michael, Steven and Kimberly (Jeffrey); great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Trevor and Chase; many loving nieces and nephews; her Three Amigos, many good friends and caregivers and her dear friends in the 50+ Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Patricia Ball and brothers, Vincent, Stanley, William, John and Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 10 AM -12 PM at the Windham Bible Church, 9550 Parkman Rd, Windham, Ohio 44288. Services to follow at 12 PM at the church with Pastor Chad Froelich officiating. Burial will be in Windham Township Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Windham Bible Church, 9550 Parkman Rd., Windham, Ohio 44288 in Jo’s name.
