Josephine M. Grassa, 95, of Medina, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Willowood Care Center in Brunswick. Born on February, 12 1916 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Felix and Anna (nee Mobilia) Assia.
Josephine was employed with Premier Industrial Corporation as Floor Supervisor. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, family gatherings, and she was the Chef of the family.
Surviving her is her son, Phillip (wife Dianne) Grassa, grandchildren; Brian, Chris, Dan, great-grandchildren; Isabella, Abigayle, Emily, Annabella, Dante, Corbin and Christian, siblings; Rose, Gertrude, Jenny, Caroline, Charlie, Carl, Tony, and Joe.
Preceding her in death, her husband Rudolph in 1976.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2 to 5 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina. Visitation also will be held 1 hour prior at 9 AM to Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church 3100 South Weymouth Road, Medina on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10 AM. Fr. Ralph Coletta officiating. (Please meet at the Church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
