JOYCE MARLENE SIR LOUIS

Joyce Marlene Sir Louis, 92, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late Peter and Catherine (nee Bartuck) Kopriver. Joyce graduated from Copley High School in 1949, and attended the University of Akron. She married Lloyd, her high school sweetheart on June 9, 1951. They were married for 54 years. Joyce enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family.

Joyce will be dearly missed by her children: Lisa (Dave) Harrison, Lloyd (Pam) Sir Louis, Kevin (Teri) Sir Louis, Rick (Autumn) Sir Louis, Tom (Meg) Sir Louis, and Doug Sir Louis; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; and sister Cathy Thomann.

She was preceded in death by Lloyd, her loving husband of 54 years; daughter-in-law JoAnn, and grandson Brandon.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services located at 3477 Medina Road, (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx) Medina, Ohio, 44256. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, in Seville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a memorial donation in Joyce's name be made to Crossroads Hospice ( https://www.crhcf.org/donate ) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital ( https://www.stjude.org/donate ). Care for Joyce was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Medina, Ohio.
