Karen A. Heyd, 58 passed away peacefully on December 6th 2018. She was the loving wife of Michael B. Heyd. They were teenage sweethearts and shared 40 years of marriage together and set the example for true love.
Born in Ravenna Ohio on December 16, 1959 she was a twin with Kenneth R McLean and daughter to Donald & Lyvonne McLean. She graduated from Windham High School in 1978. She enjoyed being at home taking care of her family and helping her husband out on the farm and in the garden. She will be remembered for the simple things in life, she never wanted expensive birthday cards, presents or fancy flowers, she would rather have you call her and tell her Happy Birthday.
Karen is survived by her spouse Michael B Heyd, Daughter Tara (Jason Judge) of Garrettsville, Son Esler B. Heyd (Kenadi Kissell) of Garrettsville and Grandchild Blake Judge. Along with many more family members including her mother Lyvonne McLean, siblings, Father in-law, sister-in-law’s, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many Nieces & Nephews.
Karen was a Lifebanc donor and was able to donate after her passing. Her selfless act helped 2 people gain sight by donating both her corneas. Her veins, arteries, bones and tissue were also donated. She was preceded in death by her Granddaughter Bailey A. Judge, Father Donald McLean, Brother Kenneth R. McLean, Sister Donna R. McLean Nephew Brandon McLean, Brother in law Stephen Boxler and Mother-in-Law Melva Heyd.
A private celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
