KATHERYN HADAM

Katheryn (Kay) Hadam, (nee Miktuk), 98, of Bonita Springs, Florida, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her granddaughters home, in Medina, OH, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 23, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to the late Mike and Katherine (nee Bashue) Miktuk.

Kay retired from Republic Steel after 35 1/2 years and headed for the warmer climate. She loved to play Bingo, cards, and especially her trips to the casinos. She was a very active and vivacious woman who had many friends and people that loved her. She was always willing to help out, especially to her Spring Creek Village friends whether it was driving them to the nursing homes to visit family and friends or taking someone a meal, or going to the store for them.

She is survived by her grandchildren: David Hawker (Lisa), Debbie Parenti (Bill), Michelle Buckner (BJ) and Dawn Jones (Steven); 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons, whom she got to spend time with and enjoyed meeting for the first time; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Hadam, both children, Edward Carl McAudy, Sr. and her beloved daughter-in-law, Janice. Her daughter, Pauline Hawker, and two grandsons, Edward Carl, Jr and Ronald Michael McAudy. All of her siblings- John, James, William, Andrew, Anna, and Mary.

She was able to celebrate her birthday and have a family reunion. Some of who she had not seen in over 50 years and this made her very happy.

She was truly a remarkable woman who will be greatly missed. It was the pleasure and honor of her granddaughter, Dawn Jones and her husband, Steve, and her niece, Patricia McKinney, to have taken care of her these past 7 months.

As Katheryn had wished, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark. Care for Katheryn was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road Medina, OH 44256.
