Kenneth (Ken) H. Miller of Leesburg, Florida joined his Lord and Saviour on Friday May 20, 2016. He was born March 5, 1948 in Euclid, Ohio to Herbert and Marion (Galspack) Miller, who precede him in death.
He was a retired police officer from the Village of Hunting Valley Ohio with 23 years of service. He was also a proud retiree of the U.S. Naval Reserves.
Ken was active in his community wherever he lived. In Ohio he was an active member of the Hiram Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, Portage County Sheriff Department, and the Jaycees. In Florida, Ken was actively involved with the Loyal Order of the Moose, AmVets, and the American Legion. Additionally he was a lifetime member of the Al-Koran Shrine and the Masonic Grand Lodge F & A.M. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, good music and helping others.
Kenny will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sharon (Danku) of 31 years; his daughters Meghan (Book) Chrobak of Cleveland, Ohio, Jennifer (Mark) Gianotto of Warren, Michigan, Kim Hoffmann of Garrettsville, Ohio, Kellie (Jason) Dragich of Stafford, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law Helen Danku; sisters-in-law, Shirley Danku, Suzanne (Kenny) Broz and Trish Danku and many nieces nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Visitation on Sunday June 12 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. Burial will be on Monday June 13, 2016 at 1:30 PM Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please meet at our Carlson Funeral Home 3477 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256 at 12:30 Monday June 13 for the procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in Kenny’s name to the Hiram Firefighters Association Attn: Jason Groselle 11617 Garfield Road, Hiram, Ohio 44234 and the NSCC C/O American Legion Post 219, 194 W. Fountain Fruitland Park, FL 34731.
