KIM E. BYERLY

October 26, 1965 — May 8, 2010

Kim E. Byerly, 44 of Medina went home to rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Medina Hospital. She was born October 26, 1965 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania to Harry F. and Shirley L. (nee Indof) Podvia and was a Clinical Dietician for Summa Health Systems for 18 years.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia University and her Master’s Degree from Case Western Reserve. Kim was a member of Granger United Methodist Church, loved her family and her animals, fed the neighborhood strays, was very active in her church, and volunteered at Medina Christian Academy.

Mrs. Byerly is survived by her husband of 23 years Thomas E. Byerly; children Katie and Emilio; parents Harry and Shirley of Belle Vernon, PA; sisters Pamela (Vince) Belczyk and Debbie (Chuck) Woss both of Belle Vernon; father-in-law Theodore (Carol) Byerly of Plumborough, PA; mother-in-law Patricia Hartle of Lakeland, Florida; nieces and nephews Ashley Woss, Elissa Belczyk, Collin Woss, Ryan Belczyk, and Aleah Belczyk; and her cats Lacie, Frankie, and Rosebud.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at Church. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Granger United Methodist Church with Pastor Thomas Joyce officiating. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at West Newton Association in West Newton, Pennsylvania.
