Kirkby “Kirk” Maxwell Rixson, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born on January 30, 1934 in Cleveland, to the late Charles and Eleanore (nee Maxwell) Rixson.
Kirk was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed his hobby of building balsa airplanes.
He is survived by his daughter Kelly (Scott) Richley; son, Scott: grandchildren, Steven, Kenny, and Dean Richley, and Haley and Sydney Rixson; sister, Patrice (Roy) Moore.
Kirkby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Kasel).
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 3 to 5 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx Road), Medina, OH 44256. Inurnment will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman/Seville, Ohio 44273. (Please meet at Cemetery entrance 15 minutes prior at 10:15 AM).
