LENA ROSE ZELEZNIK

Lena Rose Zeleznik (nee Sciano), age 85, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. She was born on March 9, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio to Thomas and Anna (nee Restifo).

She loved shopping, going to casinos, bus trips, bowling and spending time with her family and friends. Lena worked as a medical receptionist for many years until her retirement and was also very much involved with adults with disabilities in support of her daughter Donna by participating in fund raisers for Special Olympics and bowling.

Lena is survived by her five children; Donna Zeleznik, Linda (Dwayne) Fikar, Sharon (Mark) Anderson, Mike (Tippy) Zeleznik and Steve (Barb) Zeleznik; brother, Biagio (Diane) Sciano; sister-in-law, Elaine (Ken) Kling; grandmother to, Matthew (Kori) Fuller, Nicole (Anthony) Lemon, Kevin (Paige) Fikar, Brian Fikar, Julianne and Sam Zeleznik; and great grandmother to Caysen, Evan, Caleb, Luke and Aiden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert, and her parents.

Please join the family for a Visitation for Lena on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, (corner of River Styx and Route 18), Medina, Ohio. Facial coverings are required. Please observe recommended social distancing guidelines. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio.
