Leonard “Len” Timpone, age 79, of Medina, passed away on April 6, 2018. He was born at Bronx, New York, to the late Salvatore and Maryanna Timpone (nee Malviso). He was married to Elizabeth Timpone (nee Meehan) for 49 years.
Len was a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed by Schering Plough for 30 years. He volunteered with AARP to help people with their taxes and for his homeowners’ association. He was also a Eucharist Minister. Len was an avid Giants and Yankees fan, enjoyed winemaking, music and Broadway shows and, most of all, spending time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife; sons, Joseph (Kristin), Michael (Hiroko) and Andrew (Denise); and sister, Camille Timpone.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 West 130th Street, Brunswick. Family will receive visitors one hour prior from 9 to 10 AM. (Please meet at church.) Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
