Leonard Wagner, Sr., age 64, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Leonard was 1 of 9 children who grew up in Cleveland. He learned at a very young age how to take care of himself and that helped shape his life. Leonard spent many summers as a kid at his grandparents’ farm. He knew early on that he wanted to have a big yard away from the big city.
He came from a big family but kept the ones he loved the closest. This included his wife Gail who was his best friend and love of his life, his son Leonard Jr and his granddaughter Madison.
Leonard was a dedicated hard worker that always went above and beyond to get the job done. He was a carpet and floor specialist for 45 years. He started at Kilgore and went to open his own company LGL Floor Company while working at Architectural Floors in Cleveland. He passed on his hard work ethic to his Son Leonard Jr. He was always so proud of his son Lenny and his accomplishments, and he loved the fact that he passed on his love of cars to him.
His love and passion for cars ran deep. Ranging from classic cars to drag cars. He really loved his old Mopars, but also enjoyed his 1936 Chevy. He enjoyed fishing at Hinckley Lake and despite their ups and downs he always loved the Cleveland Browns.
Leonard had many nieces and nephews, and several sister-in-law and brother-in-law that he spent time with here and there.
The Wagner family has entrusted Leonard's care to the Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd, Brunswick.
