LUCILLE B. RHODES

Lucille B. (nee Kamis) Rhodes, 96, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Plum Creek Assisted Living with her cats, Calli and Lucy, by her side. She was born December 3, 1914 to John and Barbara (nee Peterka) Kamis in Cleveland and in her younger, married life, she enjoyed square dancing and round dancing.

Her family was the center of her life. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. She enjoyed casinos and bingo; she was an animal lover, especially cats. She loved to watch Animal Planet.

Lucille is survived by her daughter Susan (Darryl) Graves of Brunswick, grandchildren Brian of Columbus, Brenda of Copley, John of Columbus, Matthew of NY, NY and Alex of Lakewood, great grandchildren Sophia, Julia, Calvin, Carmen and Colin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin of 68 years, her son John “Jack”, her sister Elsie Kres and her parents.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. George “Kim” Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
