M. IRENE RUGGLES
August 24, 1927 — January 5, 2019
Irene Ruggles, 91, of Ravenna, formerly of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday January 5, 2019. She was born August 24, 1927 in Mantua, Ohio to John & Ida (DeLong) Crowe.
She was proud to be a very active member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna, where she was part of the Cozy Quilters club, Christian Women Fellowship and participated in many activities. Irene was a member of Eastern Star Palmy Chapter 114, the leisure Lads and Lassies of Deerfield, and the Red Hat ladies, Hiram-Palmayra Lunch bunch.
Irene will be missed by her son Richard (Judy Boston) Svoboda; grandchildren, Sherri Svoboda, Brandi (Scott) Svoboda-Gardner; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren (Noelle) and Madison; great-great grandchild Caleb; brother Robert Crowe.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie May, Sally McDowell, Illa "Pete" Bell and Ethel Barton; brothers Clinton, Herbert, Ray, Harold & James Crowe.
Please join Irene's family for visitation on Friday January 11, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with an Eastern Star Service at 12:00 PM to be followed by a Funeral Service at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio, with Rev. Laurie Metzko officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua, Ohio.
