Mrs. Margaret Gosselin Bowman, 88, of Medina (formerly of Newark), died February 1, 2021. She was born March 9, 1932 in Newark, to the late J. Hobart and Helen (Fuller) Miller.
Margie graduated from Newark High School in 1950, then received a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University. She began teaching at Woodside School in Newark. After leaving Newark, she taught in Germany, Japan, and North Carolina. Margie returned to Newark to finish her teaching career at Mound School and Ben Franklin Elementary before she retired.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Rainbow Girls, the Newark Research Club, the National Forensic League, the Licking County Historical Society, the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society and Zeta Tau Alpha. She enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, music, golfing, boating, writing, crafting, and gardening. But most of all we will remember Margie for the love she had for family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a devout Christian and always showed respect for her country. She will truly be missed by many.
Margie is survived by her three children, John A. (Susan) Gosselin of Albany, New York, Amy (Chris) Colvill of Medina, and Shawn Gosselin of Phoenix, Arizona; stepchildren, Joseph Bowman of Newark, Jeff (Debra) Bowman of Newark and Barb (Geof) Ridenour of Marysville; grandchildren Carly Colvill, Cameron Colvill, Rachel Gosselin, Sarah Patton and Jacob Gosselin; step-grandchildren Stacy Snow, Kelly Smeigh, Brian Bowman, Sarah Meuse, Matthew Bowman and Nicki Ridenour, as well as many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John B. Gosselin; son, J. Hobart Gosselin; second husband, William K. Bowman, and her sister, Jane (Miller) Horn.

Care for Margie was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road,(Corner of Rte 18 and River Styx Rd.) Medina, Ohio 44256. Entombment will be at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at a later date
