Margaret Simon, 95, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2019. She was born on November 7, 1923 in Homestead, PA to Micheal and Anna (Lacko) Guydosh. Marge married the love of her life, George W. Simon on October 1, 1944.
She worked as a bookkeeper right out of high school. Marge was a member of St. Lucy Parish, Hiram Fellowship, the Friday Morning Rap Group and the Wednesday Club. She enjoyed bowling and volunteering at Robinson Memorial Hospital, where she volunteered for more than 20 years. Marge loved the Village of Hiram. She was a second mom to lots of kids.
Marge is survived by her sons, Clyde Simon, Ed (Patty) Simon and Barry (Carole) Simon; daughter, Jane (Curt) McKelvey; grandchildren, Beth Meyer, Mona (John) Cotton, Curtis (Becky) Simon, Andrew (Jenni) Friedhoff and Josh (Sarah) Collins and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George and siblings, Edward (Mary) Guydosh, Martha (Andy) Adams and Virgina (Paul) Blasco.
Friends may join Marge’s family for a Christian Wake Service on Saturday, January 12, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Mission, 16280 Kinsman Road., Middlefield, Ohio 44062. A private family burial will be held at a later time.
