Maria F. Sohar age 88, resident of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
She was born on February 14, 1927 in Austria to Alois and Maria (nee Gritzner) Bauer.
Maria married Herman Sohar on August 9, 1946, and shared their life together until his
passing in 2003. Maria enjoyed Astrology; being an astrologist, seamstress and an exceptional cook.
She will be dearly missed by her sons; Herman (Patricia), Stephen, and Victor (Lynn), grandchildren; Christine (Csaba) Henter, Angela (Tim) Blum, Brenda (Paul) Williams, Peter (Kristen), Victor Jr. and Kurt, also her great-grandchildren; Maria, Mikayla, Anna, Porter, Grace, Gavin, Grayden, Jillian and Zachary, also her brother Gottfried Bauer and many nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings; Franz and Christol.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18),Medina,Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Holy Martyrs Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Road, Medina, Ohio. Fr. Stephen Dohner Officiating. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
