Marian Bertram Garrett, 75, of Windham, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 14, 1934 in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Gordon and Nova (Ramsay) Bertram.
She was a graduate of Windham High School. Marian was the Windham School District clerk for many years. She was a parishioner of the Windham United Methodist Church for 60 years. She was a member of the Friday Club. She played Bridge weekly with her dear friends for over 50 years. Marian enjoyed traveling to Europe and Hawaii and was an avid gardener. She was active in the Windham Village Council, but she most cherished spending time with her beloved famiy and friends and was completely devoted to her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Nellie) Garrett of Garrettsville, Richard (Tracey) Garrett of Garrettsville and Scott (Sherry) Garrett of Windham ; sister, Betty Fonderlin of Niles; loving nieces Nancy and Connie; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gordon Bertram.
Family and friends will be welcomed from 5-6 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Windham United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Marian’s Life will begin at 6 PM with Rev. Ruth Roth officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
