Maribeth Edgley (nee Karsnak) Age 56, of Lafayette Township, Medina, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hospice of Medina County with her loving husband and family near. She was born on October 29, 1957 in Youngstown, Ohio to Donald M. and Charline M. (nee Brooks) Karsnak.
Maribeth graduated from St. Joseph Academy; attended John Carroll University and went on to graduate from Cleveland State University. She and Ralph H. Edgley Jr. were married on November 7, 1987. Maribeth was employed as Librarian with the Medina County Library System. She volunteered her time with many community organizations. Maribeth was a rescuer of stray animals and loved her dogs and cats.
She will be missed by her beloved husband; sons, Ian Brooks and Colin Michael; mother Charline; sisters, Teresa M Karsnak (Mark Ohm), Amy M. (Michael) Bornhorst; mother-in-law Elizabeth M. Edgley, brothers-in-law, Mark and Richard (Judy) Edgley; sister-in-law Lisbeth Speare; nephews and nieces, Maggie, Jacob and Adam Bornhorst, Alec, Ben and Kate Faulhaber, Patrick, Megan, Ryan and Sean Edgley and Timothy Speare; also her many friends she treasured, and including her dogs and cats, Ricky, Julie, Rosie, Zoe, and Vincent.
Preceding her in death were her father Donald, father-in-law Ralph H. Edgley Sr. and her pets, Muffet, Mamie, Lucy, Hilda, Tiger Lily, and Marley.
Maribeth’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a Memorial Mass celebrated by Fr. Tony Sejba; held at St. Francis Xavier Church 606 E. Washington St. Medina, Ohio on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow in The Xavier Room. Maribeth’s final resting place will be at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery.
