MARIE ANTOINETTE COPLAN

Marie A. Coplan, age 100, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1923, to the late Carl and Margaret (nee Lupe) Curci in Canton, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she is now reunited with her husband, Richard A. Coplan Sr., along with her two brothers and two sisters; numerous extended family and friends. As she reaches the milestone of 100 years, they have all gathered to welcome her home and playfully inquire, "What took you so long?"

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Richard Coplan Jr.; daughter; Pam Beatty; grandchildren, Philip Beatty and Sarah (JC) Le Moulec; great granddaughters, Lucy and Emilie; and many nieces and nephews. 

A strong, yet nurturing presence, Marie was a pillar of strength within her family. As a loving and devoted mother, she navigated life with determination and a spirit that inspired those around her. Her Italian roots added a rich cultural tapestry to her character, contributing to the unique blend of strength and affection that endeared her to family and friends alike.

Marie's legacy is not only one of longevity but also of the enduring bonds she forged with those she held dear. As she bids farewell to this world, her memory lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by her strength and love. 

Marie and Richard Coplan Sr. will be laid to rest together at Western Reserve National Cemetery, located at 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273. The military honors ceremony, for Richard, will take place at the cemetery on a date that is yet to be determined. The Coplan family has entrusted Marie's care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
