Marilyn A. Pay, 75, of Medina, OH, went home to her Lord and Savior Monday, July 29, 2024. She was born October 10, 1948, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Theron and Sarann (nee Burke) Eddy.
She earned her business degree from Cleveland State University and went on to work for the family business, Wilson Pay Builders, for many years. Marilyn also obtained her realtor’s license to assist in selling the homes that the business built. She continued her profession as a bank teller at Old Phoenix Bank, FirstMerit Bank, and Westfield Bank for several years. Marilyn enjoyed going out with family and friends, whether it was taking a cruise, dancing the night away, attending sporting events, or any other outing with family. Her favorite will always be going to Kalahari with the grandkids and singing “We Are Family!” Marilyn was known for her visits to the coffee shops, drinking a B.M. (Bloody Mary), her special potatoes, Christmas cookies, and puzzle books. She had a love for angels, flowers, bird feeders, and the Plain Dealer.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her children, Dr. Jeffrey (Kara) Pay, Russell Pay, and Cheryl Smith; beloved grandchildren, Austin Pay, Mason Pay, Alyssa Pay, Griffin Pay, Dylan Pay, Alanna Pay, Owen Pay, Liam Smith, Cal Smith, and Allie Smith; brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Eddy and Gene Eddy, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dr. Diane Eddy.
