MARJORIE JUNE LOVELADY
July 11, 1924 — April 5, 2018
Marjorie June Lovelady (nee Oliver), age 93, of Medina, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born July 11, 1924 in Cambridge, OH to the late Paul Lane and Ruth Marie (nee Le Page) Oliver.
Marjorie worked various jobs while in high school. She received a Certificate of Merit from the FBI for her service during WWII. Marjorie enjoyed bowling, cooking and was an avid bridge player. She also took up fishing after her retirement.
She will be dearly missed by her cherished husband of 72 years, (George) Howard Lovelady; her children, David (Linda) Lovelady, Lane (Edward) Trego, Dane (Betty) Lovelady, Eric (Rebecca) Lovelady, Jeff (Peggy) Lovelady; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Hollingsworth; and step-sisters, Margaret Johnston and Jane Sanford.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 12PM to 3PM with a funeral service to follow at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. Interment will be Monday, April 9, at 12:00PM at Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge, OH.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Marjorie’s name to Ridgewood United Methodist Church, 6330 Ridge Road, Parma OH 44129 or Ohio Masonic Foundation, 4931 Nettleton Road, Medina, OH, 44256.
