Mark Hotz, age 63 of Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 16, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lawrence W. and Dorothy L. (nee Weschke) Hotz.
Mark was employed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a part of the US Treasury Department for most of his career.
He was an active member of the Strongsville Methodist Church, where he loved being part of the worship band for over 20 years. Mark also loved being a counselor for the Royal Family Kids Camp and served on countless mission trips.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Holly (nee Meade) Hotz; children, Tyler (Ashley) Hotz, Emily (Nate) Robertson, Kyle Hotz; cherished grandchildren, Caden, Reese and River. He is also survived by his siblings, Leigh (Mamata), Douglas (Andrea), Kelly (Tony Ludwig) Eucker, Tracy (Tom) Bass, Christine (Jon) Osborne, Cat (Dwayne) Hotz; son-in-law to Patricia (David- deceased) Meade, brother-in-law to David (Tammy) Meade; beloved uncle of many.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 3-7 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick (one ½ mile south of Rt #303 and Pearl Road on the west side of the road). Facial coverings are required. Please observe recommended social distancing guidelines. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Strongsville Methodist Church, 13500 Royalton Road, Strongsville. Rev. David Scavuzzo, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Heights.
