Marlene Louise (Coleman) Neura, age 88, passed away peacefully October 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her children. She was born on August 29, 1933 in Fairview Park, Ohio to William and Norene Coleman. Right after her home birth, she rolled over on the kitchen table and her father said, "Oh boy, she sure has pep!" After that, became known to many as "Pep."
She graduated from Fairview Park High School and married the love of her life, Joseph P. Neura on July 29, 1961, who preceded her in death in 1989. She is also preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Carol Anne Coleman, Kenneth Coleman and Glenn Coleman.
She was a loving and dedicated mother to Joseph Neura Jr. and Robert Neura of Brunswick, and Sharon Neura of Olmsted Falls who gave Marlene a gorgeous grandson Garrett Michael Neura. She always said, "God blessed her late in life with a true miracle!"
Marlene absolutely adored Garrett, age 10. He was the love and light of her life, and there are no words for how much he will miss her. They spent countless hours playing board games, building puzzles and often being competitive at patio Bingo. She also loved a good garage sale, thrifting and finding unique and fabulous jewelry. She was a class act, and a radiant soul who God gifted with fabulous taste! She truly enjoyed following many sports teams, especially the Cleveland Indians and the Browns.
She was a prior member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church for nearly 20 years but converted to Catholicism in 1987. Outside of being involved with the St. Ambrose Women's Guild for many years, she was a faithful member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse: Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
