Marlin R. Coulter, 71, of Hiram Township, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 13, 1951, in Cleveland, to the late Howard and Caroline (nee Foster) Coulter.
He was a man with love of God, family, and friends. Marlin loved everything about nature and the outdoors; he especially enjoyed watching the sun rise and set, as well as seeing animals in the woods and birds in the sky. He enjoyed camping, hiking, bicycling, riding his motorcycle, listening to music, and swinging his grandchildren on the tree swing. Marlin was a retired cabinet maker and craftsman that enjoyed working with his hands. As he aged and could not do all the physical activities that he loved, he and his wife would take trips to Atlantic City. The breeze of the ocean, the many people he met, the fine food, and occasional luck brought him pleasure.
Marlin will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 51 years, Joyce; children, Sharon (Mark) Kernig, Matt Coulter, and Kelly (Mark) Bailey; grandchildren, Diana, Dezaree, Mariah, Sarah, Leah, Hannah, Olivia, Liam; great grandchildren, Makenna, Kolsen; siblings, Frederick (Jean) Coulter, Jim (Nancy) Coulter, Jon "Jack" (Loretta) Coulter, Carolyn (Cecil) Hinkle, Bryon (Judy) Coulter; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Marlin's wishes, he is to be cremated. The family would like to invite friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
