MARTHA STEPHANIE JAMISON

Martha S. Jamison, age 90 of Medina Township, went home to be with her Lord on August 27, 2024.

Martha was born on January 29, 1934, in Smilno, Slovakia to John and Suzanna (Punda) Baran, the youngest of 8 children. She came to America in 1947 and married her husband, Herbert in 1952. Martha and her husband loved to go Polka dancing. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Martha enjoyed sewing and made many of her children’s outfits. She took great pride in her home and her yard. She was previously an active member of Holy Martyr’s Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Frederick Marsh, and 7 siblings. 

Martha will be deeply missed by her children, Diana Marsh, Jeffrey (Robin ) Jamison, Kathy (Neil) Plubell, Debra (Robert) Holmes, and Donna (Bobby) Sillanpaa; grandchildren, David Sutton, Derrick (Christina) Marsh, Jessica (Jim) Hissem, Rachel (Jeff) Cunningham, Benjamin Foster, Jared Sillanpaa, Lacey (Delvin) Carfley, Breanna Plubell, Hannah (Abe Dobson)Sillanpaa, Chloe Sillanpaa, Kevin (Amanda) Holmes, Natalie and Kimberly Holmes; great grandchildren, Isabelle and Sarah Carfley, Adaline Clifton, Grant and Kelton Brion, and Quincy, Clark, and Jesse Cunningham, Donovan Holmes, Sophia Marsh.

Friends and family may come to call on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road, Medina (Corner of Route 18 and River Styx). Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Road, Medina. Martha will be laid to rest next to her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 1:45 p.m.
