An obituary is supposed to be a time to summarize a life, but it feels wholly impossible to summarize 86 years in so small a space. Instead, we'll use it to say thank you.

Thank you for loving John Henry, for being his girl, and his wife for 65 years. Thank you for being Mom for 64 years, for raising Donna, Angela, John, and Mindy; loving your Grandkids, all 11 of us; for doting on your 14 great-grands.

Thank you for holding us all in your ever-soft hands. Thank you for loving us all, and filling our lives with an ornery smile and laugh. Thank you for treating us to nostalgic Christmas cookies and for crocheting roughly a thousand blankets and baby outfits.

Thank you for being curious, hardworking, and full of integrity. Thank you for holding us accountable for being our best selves - calling us out in phrases only you could turn.
Thank you for making this house a home.

Say hello to your siblings, parents, and all our loved ones in Heaven.

We love you, and we'll miss you.
