Mary Lee (Hickman) Lewis

Photo: Obituary: Mary Lee (Hickman) Lewis, 72 of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born September 15, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to William J. and Mary M. (Peterson) Hickman. Mary Lee devoted her time to her large family, and was employed in the restaurant industry. She enjoyed writing poems and short stories and won a poetry competition from the National Poetry Society. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her children Ralph of Kent, Jerry of Nelson, Joseph of Ravenna, Brian (Michele) Lewis of Windham and Adam of Garrettsville; daughters, Mary Beth (Robert) Booth of Nelson, Christine (Larry) Brown, and Regina Placek of Garrettsville; brothers, Bill (Irene), Joseph (Judy) and Richard, all of Windham; sisters, Rita (Jim) Light and Linda (Jack) DeSalvo all of Windham; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Franklin Lewis. Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mary Lee will be buried beside her husband at 1:30 PM at Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
