MARY (GALL) KEARNEY

December 6, 1925 — March 3, 2010

Mary (Gall) Kearney, 84, of Hiram Twp. passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 6, 1925 in Lilly, Pennsylvania to the late John and Margaret Gall.

Mary retired from Hiram College where she worked in food service. She was a parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and their Altar & Rosary Society. She participated in their Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Handbell Choir. She enjoyed rummage sales, antiques, gardening, having tea parties, and cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Faber A. “Russ” (Darlene) Kearney of IL, Mark (Dena) Kearney of Garrettsville, and A. Bryan (Mirella) Kearney of IN; daughters, Kathleen Kearney of Garrettsville, Patricia (Richard) Strainer of Hiram and Janet Kearney of Mantua; sister-in-law, Mary Gall, many nephews and nieces; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Faber, whom she married May 18, 1945. He passed away in 2003. Also preceding her in death are her siblings, Francis, John, Andrew, Charles and Anne Gall.

The rosary will be prayed at 5:30 PM on Friday, March 5, 2010, followed by calling hours from 6-8 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh. 44231. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, Oh. 44231. Everyone please meet at the Church. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Garrettsville.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Altar & Rosary Society in care of the church.
