MARY L. MCCONAHY

April 30, 1928 — December 9, 2020

Mary Lois (nee Burns) McConahy, age 92 of Hinckley, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday December 9, 2020. She was born on April 30, 1928 in Chicora Pennsylvania, to the late Augustus and Mary Daire (nee Potts) Burns.

Mary was a homemaker who loved her children and her beloved dogs, Teagan and Bailey, CoCo, Taffy and Muffet. She was a lifelong devoted Catholic who lived her faith everyday. She enjoyed church functions and her time as a member of the Women of Hope at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hinckley. Reading was a lifelong hobby but her greatest gift was her Gift of Gab. Spending time on the phone with cherished friends was the highlight of every day.

Mary is survived by son, Douglas, and daughter, Kristin; nieces Kathy (John), Mary, Debbie (John), Diane and Cece; nephew David and many great nieces and nephews.

She is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 61 years, Wesley McConahy, father Augustus Burns, mother Mary Daire (nee Potts) Burns, brother Paul Burns; sisters-in-law Linda Burns, Dolores Kramer and Betty (Homer); brothers-in-law David and Norman; nephew Mike Burns, nieces Sue Burns and Kim McConahy. She was joined at the Heavenly Gate by her best friend and neighbor of 44 years, Patricia Robinson, who recently passed away October 21, 2020 and whom she missed immensely. Not a day went by that these Best Friends did not talk on the phone for hours. May their cell phones enjoy eternal battery life.
