Mary Coletta Murray (nee Hogan), age 84, of Brunswick, passed away on December 25, 2014. She was born on August 13, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Bridget (nee Stanton) Hogan.
Mary, along with her husband Richard, was a founding member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church where she was Sacristan for over 30 years under the late Father Hilkert. She was employed at the A.I. Root Candle Company for many years. She also was an employee and volunteer at Willowood Nursing Center. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and was a member of the Women’s Democratic Club. Mary enjoyed travel, sewing, embroidering, Bingo, and most of all, her family.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 64 years, Richard; children, Richard (Carol), Patrick, Michael (Debra), Catherine (Donald) Peterson, Joseph (Carolyn), Victoria Hrouda; brother, John (Agnes); seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Jonathon and son-in-law Charles.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. There will be a visitation one hour prior to Mass at 9:00 AM (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
