MATTHEW J. JELENIC

Matthew J. Jelenic, age 34, of Brunswick Hills, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 13, 1986 in Middleburgh Heights, Ohio.
Matthew was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, and playing video games.
He is survived by his dear father, Nicholas J. Jelenic, III; loving brothers, Nicholas Jelenic, IV and Thomas Jelenic; and cherished nephew, Thomas Jelenic; and uncles, William V. and Garland D. Viovode.
Matthew was preceded in death by his loving mother, Sharon Viovode Jelenic; grandmother, Eleanor Viovode; great grandmother, “Aunty” Mary Schrom; and dear aunt Karen Viovode.
The family will receive friends for Matt on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5-7pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, (1/2 mile south of Route 303). A memorial service will start at 6:45pm. Everyone must wear a mask and social distancing will apply.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matt’s memory to University Hospital’s Kidney Center, 11100 Euclid Avenue, MCCO 5062, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 or to the Epilepsy Foundation, 2831 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
Matt's funeral service will be live streamed on the Carlson Funeral Home facebook page beginning at 6:30 p.m.
