METTIE M. ZWEIFEL

Mettie M. Zweifel (nee Hawke) passed away on August 4, 2013 surrounded by her family in Brunswick, OH. She was born on April 28, 1924 to Fred and Rachel (nee Rundle) Hawke in Columbia Station, OH.
Mettie was a member of the York United Methodist Church and the Womens VFW of Valley City.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Betty (Neil) Coffin; sons, Robert, James (Denise), David (Sharon) and Roger; brothers, James (Dorothy-deceased)Hawke and Lawrence (Joyce-deceased) Hawke; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William; brother Clarence, and her parents.
The family would like to thank Willowood Care Center of Brunswick for their excellent staff and care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Hospice of Medina, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256, or York United Methodist Church, 6566 Norwalk Rd., Medina, Ohio 44256.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH. A visitation will be held from 10am-11am on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services followed by a Service at 11am.
