Michael Wayne Cox, age 58, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born on June 10, 1964, to Arvis and Joyce (nee Baird) Cox in Cleveland.
He proudly served in the US Army and received many medals of honor. Michael was devoted to his country. He enjoyed racing cars, watching races, MOPAR, and shooting. Michael loved his family, friends, and pets. His most cherished moments were spent with them.
Michael will be deeply missed by his loving son, Brandon; father, Arvis; sisters, Nancy Ellis and Cheryl (Dennis) Hammonds; nieces, Rachel Kosel, Danielle (Daniel) Ellis, and Dana (Jeff) Davis; nephew, Jordan (Emily) Hammonds; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce.
Please join the family for visitation on January 3, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Funeral service will begin after visitation at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow visitation at 2:30 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville.
