MICHAEL JAMES LUCCI

July 6, 1966 — November 6, 2021

Michael James Lucci, age 55, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was born on July 6, 1966, in Medina, Ohio to his late parents Harold and Mildred (nee Kollar) Lucci. Mike was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace and St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He graduated from Highland High School in 1984.

Mike was a member of the Brunswick Knights of Columbus and held the office of Deputy Grand Knight. He was always willing to Volunteer his time to help serve others, even after he lost his vision in 2011. Mike would pray the Rosary every day and loved to lead the Rosary at the Knights of Columbus meetings. Mike was the type of man who put his family first and would do anything for those he held dear. Michael also enjoyed coaching his son, Andrew, in all sports. Closest to his heart was his 5 years of coaching CYO football for St. Ambrose. Mike was a former Firefighter at Hinckley Fire Department and a Paramedic at University Hospital in the Emergency Department for over 10 years. Even after he lost his eyesight he continued to re certify and keep his Paramedic Certification.

Mike would always have a bad dad joke at the ready and a Diet Coke can in his pocket. He always knew how to put a smile on a person's face and to make each person feel like they were family. Mike loved to talk on the phone with his Brother Greg and Sister Linda. Mike also enjoyed listening to music especially The Eagles, Billy Joel, and Garth Brooks. He also loved to read. When he lost his vision, he was able to continue his love of reading with his huge collection of audiobooks. Mike enjoyed Cleveland Sports, especially the Cleveland Browns. He also loved to watch MMA as well as participate in different styles of Karate.

He will be dearly missed by his dear wife of 28 years, Susan (nee Miller); son, Andrew; brother, Greg; sister, Linda; his German Shepherd, Rocky; and many friends and family. His life and memory will carry on with his grandniece Lyla and his grandnephew Landon.
