MICHAEL ARTHUR RUBY

Michael Arthur Ruby, age 96, of Brunswick, passed away on May 15, 2015. He was born on June 12, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late John and Anna (nee Grejtek) Ruby.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a lifelong member of the Brunswick V.F.W. Post 9520 and the Brunswick American Legion Post 234. Michael worked as a building inspector for Medina County and a zoning inspector for York Township and Brunswick Hills Township. He was an avid reader of western and mystery novels.

Michael will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 69 years, Jeanette; son, Terry; daughter, Lorri (Daniel) Huston; grandchildren, Jim, Michael, Chris, Michelle; and ten great grandchildren. He was a great friend to many and will be deeply missed by all.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother John.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. Father Bob Stec to officiate. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
