Maribelle Marie Dutter of Windham Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, surrounded by people who loved her.
She was born in Nelson, Ohio on December 3, 1916 to Myron and Lydia (Decker) Miller, and resided in Windham Township most of her life.
She will be celebrating her 96th birthday in heaven with her husband of 56 years, Ralph Dutter; her brother, Donald Miller; sister, Marjorie (Miller) Olin; and son, Kenneth Dutter.
She survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Dutter of Kalispell, MT; sons Donald (Norma) Dutter of Centennial, CO, and Larry (Jane) Dutter of Windham; nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a star basketball player and inducted into the Hall of Fame at Windham High School. She was a volunteer for the Portage County Board of Elections, which she really enjoyed. She and her husband were charter members of the Ravenna Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Later, with the assistance of Bob and Sharma Weedy, they started the Windham Bible Church in their home on St. Rt. 82 which is now relocated on Windham-Parkman Road. She had a love for music and children. She was a member of the Singing Grannies and had the opportunity to perform at the White House. She was the church organist for many years, as well as a Sunday school teacher who led many to the Lord.
