MONA SCOPILLITI

Mona Scopilliti, 72, of Hiram, joined her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 3, 1948, to the late Roy and Norma (Haynam) Stewart.

She was a graduate of Streetsboro High School ('67) and devoted her life to helping and caring for others, including her family, many children that were like family, her church community at St. Ambrose, friends, and neighbors. Mona was a child at heart and brought out the youthfulness in those that knew her. She enjoyed sports, including fast-pitch softball, babysitting, all children, and spending time with everyone. She was an avid baker and loved teaching all her "kids" even when they puffed the flour in the air.

We treasure the time we had with her and the memories we carry forward. Mona will be deeply missed by her loving children, Chris (Devonni) Scopilliti, Melissa (Janice Poling) Scopilliti, Tina (Rick) Aldridge, Angela (Bill) Bickelmeyer, Frank (Richelle) Scopilliti, Gerolome Scopilliti, and Santo Scopilliti, Jr.; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Lutricia (Harvey) Cummings, Delbert (Sharon Lichon) Stewart, and James (Diane) Stewart, and many loving extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Norma Stewart and her beloved husband of 38 years, Santo "Sandy" Scopilliti.

Please join the family for a visitation to honor Mona on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. The family requests masks be worn, and social distancing guidelines be followed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 10692 Freedom St. Garrettsville. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
