MURIEL K. LONG

August 6, 1920 — August 20, 2013

Muriel K. Long, 92, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2013; 5 days before her 93rd birthday. Born on August 6, 1920 in Houston, TX to James L. and Sarah (Bidwell) Kelter.

Muriel and husband, Lee, moved from Houston to Garland, TX during WWII. They both worked at Southern Aircraft during the war. She also worked as a private investigator, in the clothing manufacturing business and for a trucking company in Dallas before retiring. She moved to Medina in 1995. That year we had record snowfall and she was not impressed but adjusted well and made many friends at Forest Meadows Villas where she resided for almost 18 years. She was a true Texas gal that loved fishing, golf, football, country music, smoking and an occasional cocktail. She had a heart as big as Texas and an attitude to match.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, parents, brothers, James and Richie, grandchildren, Steve and Megan.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Tina) of Costa Rica, Kathy (Bob) Unger of Scottsdale, AZ, Jamie (Mike) Baach of Medina.

Many thanks for the loving care and support extended to Mom as well as our family from the incredible staff at Hospice of Medina County.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to The Steven Baach Charities Fund, 345 West Cedar Street, Akron,OH 44307-2407.
