Nancy Dolejs, age 88, of Strongsville, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. She was born on July 12, 1934, to the late Peter and Harriette (nee Dunkel) Romano in Cleveland.
She was a parishioner of St Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville and a member of the Real Estate Board. Nancy was talented in many things; she was a skilled writer, that wrote 16 books under the pen name Jennifer Robins; an accomplished pianist, at 6 years old she played at Carnegie Hall; a golfer in the women’s league, winning several trophies; and a skilled knitter, making personalized baby blankets for every one of her grandchildren plus as gifts to her friends. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she enjoyed oil painting. The most important thing to Nancy was family, her most precious moments were spent with them, and she always loved having or going to family parties.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughters, Lora Bristow and Kathleen McGillis; son, Michael Livingston; granddaughter, Angela; great-grandson Ethan; siblings, Frank (Myrtl) Romano, Carl (Shirley) Romano, Marie (Ed) Merton, Catherin (George) Berdge; brother-in-law, Al Cozza.
Please join the family for visitation on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd (1/2 south of route 303), Brunswick. There will be a funeral service held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 9:00 am, after service, a procession will go to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd, Strongsville for 11:30 am Mass. Burial will be at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinkley will be at 1:00 pm.
