Nancy Anne Moyer (nee Johns), a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to all, passed away on May 31, 2024. She was born on November 2, 1955, to Florence (nee Elrick) and the late Samuel Johns.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Kevin; their cherished children, Jay (Katie) Moyer, Lauren (Jeff) Blanc, and Allison (Chris) Advent; adoring grandchildren, Carlee, Fiona, Kylie, Ashley, Owen, Haleigh; mother, Florence Johns; brother, Greg Johns; sister, Sally (Dan) King; her special kitty, Daisy; and a host of extended family and friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.
Nancy shared a remarkable 47 years of marriage with the love of her life, Kevin. Their love story began in a quaint bar called Utopia and blossomed into an inspiring marriage for everyone around them. Their deep affection for each other was unmistakable; anyone who saw them together could see the bond they shared. Nancy and Kevin spent their happiest moments raising their family and cherishing their time together, their love growing stronger over the years.
They found joy in the simple things in life, often spending quiet evenings together doing word searches, a shared pastime that they both enjoyed. Nancy's care for Kevin extended beyond their shared activities; she was devoted to his well-being, ensuring he was always looked after with the utmost love and attention. Her nurturing nature shone brightly in the way she attended to his physical needs, always putting his health and comfort at the forefront.
As a mother, Nancy's dedication knew no bounds. She was a pillar of support for her children, always present, always cheering them on. Whether it was coaching her daughter's cheer team or leading the PTO, Nancy's involvement in her children's lives was driven by her love and pride. She was a constant presence at their sporting events and after-school activities, her enthusiasm infectious and her support unending.
Her love extended to her grandchildren, whom she adored with all her heart. Nancy's grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Nancy's pride in her family was evident to all; she spoke of their achievements with joy and pride, sharing their successes to anyone she could! She delighted in recounting their stories, her eyes sparkling with happiness, as she celebrated their every accomplishment.
Nancy's love for gardening was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, a testament to her care and dedication. She delighted in the simple joys of coloring and baking, often using her favorite Pioneer Woman accessories to create delicious treats for everyone. These hobbies were yet another way she expressed her love and creativity, bringing beauty and warmth to those around her.
Nancy's professional life was marked by over 25 years of dedicated service at the Diocese of Cleveland. Her work was a reflection of her strong faith and devotion as a committed Catholic. Her faith was her guiding light, and she served her community with grace and love, embodying the principles she held dear.
But perhaps what Nancy will be remembered for most is her heart of gold. She was a caring, compassionate soul who always put others before herself. Her kindness knew no bounds; she was always there with a comforting word, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture. Nancy's generosity and warmth touched the lives of many, and her selflessness was an inspiration to everyone that knew her.
Please join the family for visitation Friday, June 7, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park where Nancy will be laid to rest.
