NANCY L. NAGEL

Nancy L. Nagel, 89, of Medina passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born June 14, 1933 in Warren, Ohio to the late Paul and Rose (Demeter) Somplack.

A graduate of St. Mary's High School, Nancy attended St. John's Hospital and became a registered nurse. Nancy and Ray, her husband of 63 years, moved to Medina in 1973, where they raised their children and built three homes. Nancy made everyone feel welcome and cared for at home and wherever she went. She was an avid reader and golfer, playing in several leagues and winning tournaments. She traveled the USA and the world with Ray. Together, they loved life and lived it to its fullest.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her children, David (Janene), Paul (Maria), Lisa (Emily) and Raymond (Charlene); grandchildren, Jessica, Matt, Amanda, Nick, John, Valerie, Lucy, Leah, and Emma and seven great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray in 2020; siblings Elizabeth Schlick, Irene Skovran, Paul Somplack, James Somplack, and Rose Ross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 7 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 East Washington St., Medina, OH. Visitors for the family are welcome at 10:00 AM at the church. A luncheon will be held at 12:45-3:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Home.
